The Journey
David acquired his first business in 1995, 30 years ago. David and his team built the Group into the world's largest technology-led Legal Services Group based on the Isle of Man.
David pioneered the first personal injury aggregation business in the UK, honed into an end-to-end legal services provider, invented the phrase "No Win No Fee" in 1996, and was a pioneer in the Personal Injury market, developing many of the systems now commonplace in the sector.
After a successful exit from his Personal Injury Group and six months' holiday, David acquired a debt recovery group. This group spawned the first PPI claims business in 2007. Over the following 10 years, the group grew to become one of the largest PPI claims companies, recovering in excess of £50 million in damages for the victims of the banks.
An exit from his PPI business led to an early retirement, enabling him to focus on his two children, dogs, cats and other furry critters.
The Return
All good things must come to an end, and in 2023, David re-entered the business world with the intention of acquiring a group of businesses, again!
David soon discovered that almost every business that was for sale was in no fit state to be sold, and decided to write a series of books. The first helps owners to prepare their business so it can be operated by others. The second guides those wishing to acquire businesses on how they can help business owners prepare themselves for exit.
David is now the Chairman of two companies that deliver on this message, and both these businesses are supported by AI services such as Pippa PA.
The AI Mission
During the journey to help owners prepare for an exit, David realised that AI will be a huge element of this process. David met with dozens of AI 'experts' and decided to create his own team to deliver AI solutions.
David now leads an AI network that is on a mission to help 50,000 businesses use AI and thrive ahead of the curve.
David's time is now spent juggling between his stable of AI and Acquisition businesses and helping his team to help business owners to exit or acquire businesses.
